Applying to ÐǿՂ÷ý

We are thrilled that you have decided to seek admission for your child to Royal St. George’s College. 

In the information that follows, you will find all that you need to complete the required steps of the application process successfully. 
  • Deadlines: We accept applications for admission the following year, beginning in mid-September. The application for September 2027 entry will be available in mid-September 2026, and completed applications must be received by December 1.
  • Online Application: The online applications process will take you through the steps (and identify the information we require from you) in order to complete the application smoothly. Of course if you have questions along the way we are here to assist. Please contact Toni Nosworthy. See below for a helpful checklist to guide you along the application journey.

  • Step 1: Learn About ÐǿՂ÷ý

    Learn as much as you can about ÐǿՂ÷ý by reading all the information on our website; .
  • Step 2: Book a Tour

    Completing the tour before the interview is strongly recommended.

    Our Open House will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

    In the event that you are unable to attend, tours are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. To arrange a visit, please submit your request here.
  • Step 3: Submit an Application

    The application for September 2026 entry will be available in mid-September 2025, and completed applications must be received by December 1.
  • Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

    Pay the non-refundable application fee. From September to October 31, the fee is $200. The fee from November 1 to December 1, 2025 is $250.
  • Step 5: Upload Report Cards

    Wait until you have been granted access before uploading report cards. Once you have access, upload your son’s year-end report cards from the past two academic years, along with his most recent mid-year or end-of-term report card (December, January, or February).
  • Step 6: Upload Birth Certificate or Passport

    Wait until you have been granted access before uploading documents. Once access is provided, upload a copy of your son’s birth certificate or passport. This ensures we have the most up-to-date information to support his records.
  • Step 7: Educational or Psychological Assessments

    If applicable, upload educational or psychological assessments.
  • Step 8: Interview with a member of the Admissions Team

    The interview is with a member of the admissions team.  We interview the candidate alone for about 30 minutes and then meet with the parents for 20 minutes.
  • Step 9: Complete the Entrance Test

    Your son completes the entrance test (see information about the test, below).

Entrance Test Information

Entrance tests are age-appropriate and designed to evaluate literacy and numeracy skills.
 
Grades 3–6: Applicants will be evaluated during their interview.

Grades 7 and 9: Applicants will write an in-person assessment at Royal St. George’s College, Crescent School, or The York School. We collaborate with Crescent School and The York School, so applicants need to write only one assessment regardless of the school(s) they are applying to.

Grade 7:
  • Saturday, November 7, 9:00 a.m. – The York School
  • Saturday, December 5, 9:00 a.m. – ÐǿՂ÷ý / The York School
  • Saturday, December 12, 9:00 a.m. – Crescent School
Grade 9:
  • Saturday, November 7, 9:00 a.m. – The York School
  • Saturday, December 5, 9:00 a.m. – ÐǿՂ÷ý / The York School
  • Saturday, December 12, 9:00 a.m. – ÐǿՂ÷ý
International or Out-of-Province Applicants:
Grade 7 and 9 applicants will write the assessment virtually on Saturday, January 9, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. EST.
The assessment focuses on mathematics and literacy, tailored to your child’s age. It includes multiple-choice and short-answer questions.
No preparation is required.
 
Grades 3, 7, and 9 are our main entry years, and we are pleased to accept new students into Grades 4, 5, and 6 beginning September 2026. Families may also submit applications for Grades 8, 10, and 11, with interviews arranged once space availability has been confirmed.
